Lesson 1: What is Photography?
Welcome everyone to my first post on my new blog focusing on how to learn photography. Over the next few weeks we are going to learn all things photography including the exposure triangle, composition and framing and how to achieve those beautiful blurry backgrounds. It seems that now a days we are all transfixed with taking pictures. We take pictures on our cameras, on our phones and on our tablets, and if we are not taking pictures we are looking at pictures that other people have taken but the question is, What is photography? Photography comes from the Greek words 'Photo' meaning light and 'Graphe' meaning to draw or to write. So by practicing the art of photography, we are writing or drawing with light. Without light there can be no photography. Remember this for later as it will become more important in our journey for knowledge. Now that we understand where the word photography comes from, how do we make a picture? We have all taken countless numbers of pictures
